| Automotive | Driving the automobile in the Wilmington area during the 40's and 50's was probably a lot easier then today. Since then, almost every major highway has been widen or rerouted and a new North/South state highway and three new Interstate highways have been constructed. The most controversial of them was the Adams-Jackson Freeway, as it was nicknamed in the early 1960's, which became I-95. |
